Autumn 2009

IF YOU NEED POLICE TO ATTEND DIAL 01923 828212 (not an emergency)
Lynda Jackson Run 27th September
Thank you to everyone who came to support, help and cheer the runners. At the time of writing, over £18,000 has been raised. There were runners from far and wide, many who commented on what a lovely setting it was for the event. Thank you too to residents and visitors who patiently waited while the runners went through.
Three Rivers District Council Consultation (5,000 dwellings)
Three Rivers have asked us to advertise the consultation in our Newsletter. Following their Consultation in February/ March this year, they are now planning further consultation which will concentrate on housing sites to accommodate the 5,000 dwellings required by the East of England Regional Authority for the years 2001 to 2026. Three Rivers are trying to ensure that as many people as possible are aware of the consultation so they can have the opportunity to respond. We shall publish further information about the local plan in our Newsletters and here on our website.
Work to the Embankment
As most of you will be aware, Transport for London are going to carry out major repairs to the embankment between Askew Road and North Approach. Work will start in mid October and there will be some disruption to residents and traffic in that immediate area. More details can be obtained from Moor Park (1958).
Litter Day
We have planned a Clean up Day for Sunday 15th November at 2.30 p.m. Anyone interested in helping, please meet at Moor Park Shops. Grabbers will be provided!
Carol Singing
We have arranged the traditional carol singing by courtesy of the Herga Band for Saturday 19th December 2009 at 11 a.m. We do hope as many residents as possible can come along and sing your hearts out!

The Committee Members would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
